Skincare Tag: What Is My Daily Routine?
I have decided to do this tag because I enjoy reading other bloggers who have done it so thought I would do it myself. I must say I have a pretty extensive skincare routine and even my own mother asks why I use so many products on my face, well lets hope I age slower because of it! I normally spend a lot more money on my skincare than makeup because I am of the essence that if your skin is good then you wont need as much makeup to cover up the problems. I use a range of different products from a number of brands, but I would say my go to brand is Body Shop.
- DESCRIBE YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE IN FIVE WORDS:
Cleanse, Exfoliate, Tone, Moisturise, Regularity (I always make sure to do this routine, even after a night out!) - WHAT IS YOUR SKIN TYPE?Now I have VERY sensitive skin, one simple change of product or products with certain ingredients bring me out in spots or a angry rash. I treat my skin as I would a baby, with care, love, and attention otherwise it gets angry! This is why I am so extensive with my routine to ensure I don’t have any adverse reactions.
- WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SKINCARE PRODUCT?
At the moment, my favourite skincare product is the Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream and Sleeping Mask. The Vitamin E oil protects my skin against harmful UVA/UVB rays, pollution, and cigarette smoke (basically protection from the 21st Century!). The Eye Cream removes any signs of dark circles meaning I can stay up that extra hour at night without my skin taking a toll, and the Sleeping Mask helps to infuse my skins natural moisture levels and replenishes my complexion whilst I sleep. Plus it hasn’t ever brought me out in a rash so that’s a big bonus! - TOP BLEMISH ZAPPER?
When I was about 13 I visited the Doctor’s as I experienced quite bad acne that needed to be dealt with medically. I managed to get a prescription for Adapelene Cream which is a retinoid-like compound which helps to renew skin cells quicker and reduce blackheads. I must say it works wonders for me but unfortunately you can only get it on prescription. Therefore a product which you can easily get your hands on in boots is the Freederm 5% gel and this removes even the most angry spots within 48 hours, a complete godsend! - FACE WIPES… YAY OR NAY?
NEVER!! I have yet to find a brand of face wipes that haven’t caused me to have an allergic reaction, if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! I opt for Micellar water if I haven’t got the time to properly remove my makeup, my favourite brand is Bioderma. - TONER.. YAY OR NAY?
I LOVE toner, it helps to remove any residue makeup and really refreshes my tired skin in the morning. I have used toner for the last 5 years and feel it keeps my acne and any oily areas of my skin at bay. My favourite at the moment is the Simple Toner, because as the title says it’s simple and doesn’t harm my skin! - HIGH END SKINCARE OR HIGH END MAKEUP?
Hands down High End Skincare because you can really notice the difference in quality which isn’t always the case for makeup. Prevention also means protection, and your skin is the largest organ in your body so really needs to be taken care of! If i could have both I would, but a gal can’t have it all! - YOUR IN A FRENCH PHARMACY AND CAN ONLY BUY ONE ITEM, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I am obsessed with the Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Water, it removes any signs of makeup without having to rub or irritate my skin, whilst maintaining the skins natural balance. I’ll have a years supply please! - TOP SKINCARE TIP?
My top skincare tip is actually nothing to do with skin ironically. The best way to achieve a glowing and radiant complexion is to ensure you have a good and healthy balanced diet. Ensure you have a diet rich full of vitamins and minerals and cut out the crap that is causing your breakouts (I mean a biscuit or two everyday can’t harm, but you get my drift). As they say, you are what you eat. I would also recommend a little detox every once in a while, vitamin C rich foods such as lemons support your liver and kidneys, there is a clear link between your organs and healthy skin, so get drinking the lemon water!
So there you have it guys, an insight into my skincare routine. I do hope you found some tips from reading, contact me if you need anymore wisdom or advice. Happy Pampering!
